Carry The Torch is the band that local all-ages scene hero Brian Twigg started when he moved to California. There is no space here to adequately write about what he meant for the scene here and, more importantly, what his enduring friendship has meant to me. Following a number of kid bands, Brian and Brendan formed 200 North (the irresistible hardcore punk band that lead the era in discussion here), booked shows, toured, and was also a part of The Trend, with Kenny Tompkins, rap group Blue Sky Research, Torch the Streets, and also was the drummer for The Hearts and Bones (with me, and Cullen Tierney, also from 200 North). Also a bunch of funny joke bands.
